The French Federation of Diabetes is an association of, for and led by people with diabetes. With its network of approximately 100 local associations and delegations, spread over the entire territory and its national headquarters, its aim is to represent the 4 million people living with diabetes in France.

Founded in 1938, recognized as a public utility in 1976 and approved since 2007 by the Ministry of Health for the representation of users, it is totally independent of any public institution, any organization or private company, and any professional corporation.

Strengthened by this independence, the Federation enjoys a recognized legitimacy with the actors of the health system.
