The International Diabetes Federation (IDF) is looking to recruit an experienced Diabetes Education Project Consultant for a one-year contract to manage the operations of a new project related to WeChat technology, limited to China and surrounding countries.
IDF’s mission is to promote diabetes care, prevention and a cure worldwide. This is an exciting and challenging time for individuals who want to make a difference in the lives of the millions of people living with diabetes or at risk.
This is a new project aimed at enhancing diabetes education and providing access to the resources in the IDF School of Diabetes in China, through WeChat technology. The project will involve coordination with internal and external stakeholders, digital vendors, translators and review of the content and flow of the final product. The outcomes of the project will be linking the IDF School of Diabetes to the WeChat platform and a series of dissemination materials, developed in collaboration with IDF staff.
This is a role for a driven individual with passion for public health, technology, and medical education. IDF is looking for candidates who can demonstrate success in project management and implementation, collaboration with multinational and multicultural teams, and commitment to improving the lives of people with diabetes.
The Consultant will work closely with the IDF Education team, the Chinese Diabetes Society, selected experts and third party vendors. They will be responsible for the daily management and oversight of the project. The Consultant will work remotely.
The Consultant will report to the Education Manager in the IDF Executive. Their key responsibilities will include:
