The Patients’ and Consumers’ Working Party (PCWP), integrated in the European Medicines Agency’s (EMA) activities, provides a platform for the exchange of information and discussion of issues of common interest between EMA and patients and consumers on medicine-related issues. IDF Europe will be one of the 22 patients and consumers organisations working hand in hand with the Europen Commission, the Healthcare Professionals Working Party and the EMA scientific Committee and Managemente Board for the period 2019-2022.
Former IDF Europe Chair (2012-2015), Joao Manuel Valente Nabais, and Board Member, Iryna Vlasenko, who are representing IDF Europe, participated in the first meeting on June 26.
The PCWP, established in 2006, aims at providing recommendations to EMA and its human scientific committees on all matters of interest in relation to medicines.
