We are pleased to announce that IDF Europe Board Member, Dr. Konstantinos Makrilakis, will take part in the external peer review process regarding the ‘2021 European Guidelines on cardiovascular disease prevention in clinical practice’.
Dr. Makrilakis is an Associate Professor of Internal Medicine at the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens Medical School in Greece and has been a Board Member at IDF Europe since 2015. He has extensive experience in co-authoring and contributing to projects and publications with a particular focus on epidemiology and prevention of diabetes. A number of other European experts in cardiovascular disease prevention will review the 2021 European Guidelines and the publication is expected to exert great influence, as previous issues have done. The peer-review process will begin in August 2020.
