APDP Diabetes Portugal organised its 20th Seminar of Education in Chronic Disease “Would Mona Lisa have diabetes?” on April 11-13, in Sesimbra, Portugal.
About 70 participants from across Portugal joined the seminar, including both healthcare professionals and people living with diabetes. This year, the workshops focused on the importance of Therapeutic Education and Health Literacy and its practice in the healthcare daily routine.
Chronic diseases including diabetes represent a huge cost burden on health systems.
