IDF Europe welcomes the adoption by the European Parliament of resolution 2020/2691(RSP) on the EU’s public health strategy post Covid-19.
IDF Europe welcomes the adoption by the European Parliament of resolution 2020/2691(RSP) on the EU’s public health strategy post Covid-19, which amongst others calls for the creation of a European Health Union, the implementation of a ‘health in all policies’ approach; for the Commission to propose a directive on minimum standards for quality healthcare, guaranteeing patient safety, decent working and employment standards for healthcare workers and European resilience in the face of pandemics and other public health crises; as well as for the Commission to take all necessary action to tackle health determinants and health inequalities in order to improve health outcomes.
