Since April, the Albanian Diabetes Association together with National Operator of Health Care, have organised and run 16 training sessions in 12 cities, with the participation of more than 450 HCPs, including nurses, physicians, and pharmacists. The goal of these sessions is to improve the knowledge and capacities of HCPs to treat and follow up on people living with diabetes. Our Albanian member is now planning to expand its network and the number of programmes it runs, to include, for example, the staff of the National Emergency Service.
