IDF Europe welcomes the appointment of four interns

IDF Europe was pleased to welcome three new interns in July, who joined Maartje Roskams, who is supporting the YOURAH group, in the office.

Maartje Roskams is a 23-year-old graduate in pedagogy, from Belgium. She is a third-year nursing student, who is passionate about advocating at a European level for key policy changes concerning diabetes awareness-raising and risk-reduction initiatives. Within IDF Europe, Maartje is in charge of YOURAH and the Youth Programme, to which as a young person living with Type 1 diabetes, she feels particularly connected. Maartje is also a member of the IDF Global Young Leaders in Diabetes Programme.

Lisa Dolan will be responsible for IDF Europe’s communications activities, with a focus on IDF Europe’s advocacy work. Lisa holds a BA in European Studies from Trinity College Dublin, where she also volunteered to fundraise for Trinity Alumni & Development. In her last year in college, she was also the Chairperson of Trinity TV, the student-run online TV Channel of Trinity College. As well as English, Lisa is also fluent in German and has a good working knowledge of Spanish.

Mathilde Marcel holds a Master’s Degree in International Law and EU Affairs from French-based Clermont Auvergne University. Within IDF Europe, she will be supporting all advocacy activities. Prior to joining IDF Europe, Mathilde was a policy analyst at EU think tank, EU Logos Athena, where she was in charge of the management of the “digital policies” portfolio, and also drafted a series of articles, position papers and briefings. Mathilde is fluent in French and English and is an intermediate user of Chinese and Spanish.

A graduate in Philosophical Sciences from the University of Padua, Simona Vitali will be responsible for IDF Europe’s communication activities, alongside Lisa. Simona has experience in communication from a previous internship at SOLVAY, where she assisted in the creation of online content and in the organisation of events, most notably workshops. She has a passion for culture and knowledge. Simona is fluent in both Italian and English, and has a basic knowledge of French.
