To mark the 10th anniversary of the Youth Leadership Camp, IDF Europe wishes to celebrate the key role of its youth network, YOURAH, in shaping the world of tomorrow for the diabetes community at large. On August 12 2020, IDF Europe will launch a series of initiatives on the occasion of International Youth Day (IYD), whose theme this year is “Youth Engagement for Global Action”.
To commemorate IYD, IDF Europe will promote a social media campaign over ten days that will introduce to the public a series of profiles of young diabetes advocates who were part of past editions of the Youth Leadership Camp and are now actively raising awareness of diabetes through our youth engagement platform.
IDF Europe is also organising an online debate entitled “Youth engagement in diabetes: what does it mean to you?” to discuss the opportunities and challenges faced by the young diabetes community to make its voice heard. The panel will also showcase effective examples of diabetes youth engagement with policy makers at local, national, European and global levels. The online debate will take place on August 12 2020, from 12:30 to 13:30 CET, and will be joined by the members of our YOURAH network. Click here to register to the debate for free.
