IDF Europe member, Italian National Association of Diabetic Athletes, (ANIAD – Associazione Nazionale Italiana Atleti Diabetici ) attended the XXV International Rome Marathon “Run for Diabetes”, 3rd edition on April 5-7.
It is the third consecutive year that ANIAD has been involved in this run, organised under the aegis of IDF and the International Cities Changing Diabetes programme. ANIAD participated with 51 athletes living with diabetes, 44 of them living with Type 1 diabetes, and seven with Type 2.
The weekend before the competition, ANIAD was present in the Marathon expo with a dedicated stand to provide visitors with news and detailed information on sports and diabetes.
