Azerbaijan Diabetes League Public Association (ADL PA) was initiatied by medical staff and people directly concerned by diabetes in 1999. Its mission is the improvement of welfare of patients with diabetes and protecting the health of population.

ADL is active in the social sphere of Azerbaijan. ADL is a board member of the National NGO Forum, NGO Alliance for Children Rights, the National Council of Youth Organization of the Republic of Azerbaijan and Disabled Organization Union. It participates as experts on disability social programmes in the Ombudsman Office. It has been a member of public union in the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of Population and has preserved closed partnership relations with government agencies, public institutions, pharmacological companies and international organisations.
