About the prize
Since 2012, IDF Europe has recognised excellence, innovation and commitment to the diabetes community through specific prizes and awards. Not only do these celebrate outstanding work in support of the diabetes community but they also foster the exchange, and promote the dissemination of, novel ideas, solutions and initiatives which have made a real impact on the lives of people with diabetes.
Diabetes advocates are transforming the landscape of diabetes care in Europe and are significantly contributing to improving access to care and quality of life for people living with diabetes.
In 2024, as part of our efforts to strengthen our network of people living with diabetes (PwD), we will present an Advocate Award. This Award, supported by Lilly Diabetes, celebrates a diabetes advocate for their contribution to advocating for PwD’s rights.
