The Society of Endocrinology and Metabolism of Türkiye (TEMD) was established in 1964.
It is the national umbrella organization for endocrinology and metabolism in Türkiye, with diabetes one of its principal areas of focus. Through its scientific study groups, particularly those dedicated to diabetes and metabolic disorders, the Society advances research, education, and professional collaboration to improve diabetes care and outcomes.
TEMD currently has more than 1,000 members.
