DIABETES 360° EXHIBITION: "Are we asking the right questions?"

Date and time: 9 November 2026, 13:30 - 12 November 2026, 18:00 (CET)
Location: European Parliament, Rue Wiertz, Brussels, Belgium

As part of our World Diabetes Day 2026 activities, on November 9-12, IDF Europe will hold an interactive exhibition at the European Parliament in Brussels, hosted by MEP Papandreou (S&D, Greece).

Building on this year’s World Diabetes Day theme, “Early Action on Diabetes”, the exhibition will offer a practical, 360° perspective on how EU policies across different areas can help shape diabetes prevention, early detection, care and quality of life for people living with diabetes and those at risk. Through real-life perspectives, IDF Europe’s policy work and key recommendations, the exhibition will highlight the importance of person-centred, integrated approaches to diabetes prevention and care across all policy areas.

The exhibition will open on Monday, November 9, at 13:30, with a keynote address by European Parliament President Roberta Metsola, and will remain open until Thursday, November 12, at 18:00.

“Know Your Numbers” health check stations

The exhibition will be organised around several stations, each focusing on a key policy area. Two of these stations will focus on prevention and early detection, offering visitors the opportunity to undergo health checks to better understand their risk of type 2 diabetes, obesity, CVD and kidney disease. The health check will include key indicators such as blood pressure, HbA1c, lipid profile, Lipoprotein(a), kidney health, waist circumference and BMI.

If you do not have an accreditation to the European Parliament and would like to attend the opening of the exhibition on November 9, please register at the link below before November 4.
