In response to the European Commission’s Call for Evidence supporting the development of an EU Cardiovascular Health (CVH) Plan, we published a Position Paper and a Summary Document.
The CVH Plan has the potential to make a real difference to the prevention, early detection and management of cardiovascular disease (CVD) across Europe. Our response emphasises that for it to truly be effective, the plan must move beyond siloed, single disease frameworks towards integrated policies and initiatives that reflect the interdependence of diabetes, CVD and other non-communicable diseases (NCDs) such as obesity.
