After extensive and thoughtful consideration of the evolving regional context in the Gulf and the wider Middle East, and its potential implications for international participation at global gatherings, the International Diabetes Federation (IDF) has made the difficult decision to postpone the IDF Congress in Qatar.
The IDF Congress 2027 will now take place in Singapore from 10–12 April 2027.
This decision reflects our responsibility to ensure a safe, accessible, and rewarding experience for all participants, partners, speakers, exhibitors, and stakeholders across the international diabetes community.
As one of the world’s leading congress destinations, Singapore offers an outstanding setting for the global diabetes community to come together, with excellent international connectivity, world-class conference facilities and a strong reputation for innovation in healthcare and medical research. We are confident that it will provide an exceptional platform for scientific exchange, professional collaboration and advocacy to advance diabetes care and prevention worldwide.
Registration for the IDF Congress 2027 will open in July. Abstract submission is currently open and closes on 15 August.
Further information about the congress programme will be available in the coming weeks.
We look forward welcoming the global diabetes community in Singapore for an inspiring programme of scientific exchange, advocacy, networking and collaboration.
