Established in 1919, Dr Cipto Mangunkusumo National General Hospital (RSCM) is Indonesia’s oldest and largest institution, serving as the leading national referral centre and core teaching hospital in collaboration with the Faculty of Medicine, Universitas Indonesia. Internationally recognised through Joint Commission International (JCI) accreditation, RSCM received the national awards for Best Executive Service Hospital and Best Clinical Research Hospital in 2026.

The RSCM Diabetes Clinic comprises the Advanced Diabetes Center (ADC), which delivers comprehensive, integrated care through a one-stop service model, and the IPRJT Endocrine Outpatient Clinic, which ensures accessible, high-quality, and continuous care for National Health Insurance (JKN) patients in Indonesia. Beyond clinical services, RSCM serves as the national coordinator of the Diabetes Mellitus Hospital Network, mentoring and overseeing 177 network hospitals across Indonesia.

Guided by a commitment to universal access to healthcare, the RSCM Diabetes Clinic provides high-quality care to all patients, including BPJS Healthcare members, helping to reduce financial barriers to care. The comprehensive diabetes care model integrates personalised and community-based education, structured patient logbooks to support self-monitoring, and individualised diabetic foot interventions to prevent long-term complications.
