The Société Algérienne d’Obésité et Maladies Métaboliques (SAOMM – Algerian Society for Obesity and Metabolic Diseases) was established in 2022.
SAOMM is dedicated to advancing the prevention, management, and understanding of diabetes and metabolic diseases. Through patient education, healthcare professional training, awareness initiatives, research support, and collaboration with national and international partners, SAOMM works to improve the quality of care and support available to people living with diabetes.
