About
The National Association of Diabetes Educators of Pakistan (NADEP) is the first-ever association of diabetes educators in Pakistan. It is a non-profit organisation dedicated to promoting diabetes care and education in the country. NADEP aims to enhance understanding, prevention, and management of diabetes, ultimately improving the lives of those at risk and affected by the condition.
NADEP provides services for people with diabetes and allied healthcare providers that include diabetes educators, dietitians, podiatrists, foot technicians, physiotherapists, dietitians, exercise physiologists and nurses,. It is a unique platform where people with diabetes and healthcare providers work hand-in-hand.
NADEP has established a main chapter in each province of Pakistan, led by local diabetes champions (diabetes educators, dietitians and nurses). Sub-chapters are also being created to accelerate awareness, education, and primary prevention among the diabetes community and the general public.
Main Focus
- To promote standardisation, development and delivery of structured diabetes education programmes.
- To set up national and international collaboration for educational activities in Pakistan.
- To organize meetings, workshops, and conferences in diabetes education and related disciplines.
