About

The Pakistan Endocrine Society (PES) was founded in 2001 with a mission to improve the lives of people with endocrine disorders, including diabetes, and to advance the field of endocrinology through education, research, and advocacy. Over the years, we have established ourselves as a leading organisation in Pakistan, representing over 200 individual members, 87% of whom are medical doctors, with the remainder being allied healthcare professionals.

PES has a comprehensive national and regional scope, and has established global partnerships with organizations such as the International Society of Endocrinology (ISE) and the South Asian Federation of Endocrine Societies (SAFES).

Main Focus

Diabetes prevalence in Pakistan is rising at an alarming rate. PES is deeply committed to addressing:

  • The challenges of type 1, type 2 and gestational diabetes.
  • The rising incidence of obesity and metabolic syndrome in children and young adults.

PES has been at the forefront of tackling these challenges through a variety of initiatives aimed at prevention, education, and treatment.
