The Fundación Creciendo con Diabetes (FCCD) was established in February 2018 in Tegucigalpa as a non-profit, non-governmental organisation with the purpose of promoting the development and improvement of the quality of life of people with diabetes in the country through education on healthy lifestyles and providing the necessary tools to control glucose levels.
Its activities are mainly devoted to diabetes education, advocacy campaigns aimed at increasing public awareness about diabetes and the rights of people with the condition and raising funds for diabetes education and care.
Main Focus
- Promoting improvements in the fight against diabetes in Honduras.
- Promoting acceptance and understanding of a diabetes diagnosis through education and comprehensive monitoring.
- Creating a greater commitment to treatment that results in the improvement of quality of life for people with diabetes.
