About
Established in 1991 in Shanghai, the Chinese Diabetes Society (CDS) is the leading national organisation in the fight against diabetes in China.
The mission of CDS is to prevent, care and cure diabetes through education, research and good medical practice. CDS has 31 provincial and municipal branches and six study groups, with more than 3,000 members across China.
Main Focus
- Conducting, supporting and funding research on the prevention, care and cure of diabetes.
- Enhancing academic exchange and cooperation among physicians, researchers and other professionals working in diabetes.
- Enhancing awareness of diabetes and promoting knowledge of diabetes among the general public.
- Advocating on behalf of people affected by diabetes and professionals working in diabetes.
