Hello, I’m Larry Bonifas from Luxembourg, and I’ve been living with type 1 diabetes since 1987. As a solo musician and elected local politician, I’m no stranger to using my voice to stand for what matters. I’ve travelled widely and speak several languages, which helps me understand the challenges faced by our community across different regions.
At the IDF Congress in Bangkok in 2025, I was inspired by the powerful voices of people with diabetes and those who care for them. Hearing their stories reminded me of the strength in our shared experiences and the importance of speaking up. By joining the Blue Circle Voices network, I want to be part of this collective effort—amplifying voices, sharing perspectives and pushing for change that truly reflects the needs of people with diabetes everywhere.
