Cohort: 2025-2027

People of all ages and fitness levels can join, emphasizing that every step counts in supporting T1D awareness. The project includes a comprehensive social media campaign and digital platform to share news, educational content, and personal stories about living with T1D, fostering a strong, engaged community before and after the event. Alongside the race, the event will feature health booths, talks, and activities highlighting nutrition, exercise, and diabetes management. By partnering with local organizations, health professionals, and sponsors, the “Blue Challenge 5K” aims to create a sustainable model for diabetes awareness, while encouraging community participation and advocacy. With targeted outreach, volunteer involvement, and media promotion, the project seeks to reach at least 300 runners and over 1,000 participants and followers, offering an opportunity to educate, inspire, and connect. Ultimately, the “Blue Challenge 5K” combines physical activity, community engagement, and education to empower individuals living with T1D, reduce stigma, and strengthen support networks. It is a celebration of resilience, solidarity, and health, transforming awareness into action.
