Our project supports people in Iran through gatherings and hospital visits. We organize group sessions to increase awareness, share experiences, and boost self-confidence, providing a safe environment to discuss challenges, learn coping strategies, and build community. By encouraging open conversation, we reduce isolation and help participants develop practical skills for managing their condition. Hospital visits support newly diagnosed individuals and their families by providing direct support, accurate medical information, and reducing diabetes stigma. Participants meet healthcare professionals and trained peer mentors, which boosts their confidence and informs them about treatment and lifestyle adjustments. Through both approaches with Gabric, we emphasize knowledge, emotional support, and empowerment. The project fosters a supportive network, enhances confidence, and promotes proactive diabetes management.
