Our project aims to support in Iran through a dual approach: gatherings and hospital-based visits. First, we organize group sessions that focus on increasing awareness, sharing personal experiences, and boosting self-confidence. These sessions provide a safe and supportive environment where participants can discuss challenges, learn coping strategies, and build a sense of community. By encouraging open conversation, we aim to reduce feelings of isolation and help participants develop practical skills for managing their condition. Second, we conduct hospital visits for newly diagnosed individuals and their families. These visits aim to provide direct support, deliver accurate medical information, and reduce social stigma associated with diabetes. Participants meet healthcare professionals and trained peer mentors, which helps them feel more confident and informed about their treatment and lifestyle adjustments. Through both approaches in collaboration with Gabric, we emphasize knowledge improvement, emotional support, and empowerment. The project seeks to create a supportive network for people living with diabetes, enhance their confidence, and foster informed, proactive diabetes management.
