Hello! I’m Sobia Siddiqui from Pakistan. I’ve been living with type 1 diabetes since 2011, navigating its daily demands in a country where access to insulin, education and diabetes technology is often limited. This journey has shaped who I am today and opened my eyes to the stigma, affordability issues and lack of resources that many people living with diabetes face—especially in low- and middle-income regions like mine. These personal experiences inspired me to become a voice for others.
I’m proud to join the Blue Circle Voices (BCV) network to help represent those whose voices often go unheard. It’s an opportunity to share real-life insights, raise awareness and advocate for inclusive, equitable diabetes care globally. As part of this community, I focus on access to insulin, diabetes technologies and peer support systems—essentials that should never be considered a privilege. I’m passionate about building stronger connections between people with diabetes and decision-makers so policies reflect our lived realities. With the proper care, support, and understanding, no one should be left behind on their diabetes journey!
