The International Diabetes Federation (IDF) is delighted to announce that Member States of the Panamerican Health Organization (PAHO) have agreed to admit IDF into official relations with PAHO for the period 2023-2025. The decision was taken during the recent 172th session of the Executive Committee of PAHO.
Official relations are an excellent opportunity for IDF to closely collaborate with PAHO in improving diabetes prevention and care in the region of the Americas. Our efforts will be focused in supporting the implementation of the Global Diabetes Compact, encouraging national implementation of the HEART-D module and disseminating knowledge across the region.
IDF looks forward to collaborating with PAHO and IDF Members in the region to improve the lives of people living with diabetes and those at risk in the Americas.
