Chellaram Diabetes Institute (CDI) has been established in 2011 in Pune by the Chellaram Foundation, which is active in several philanthropic initiatives across India, with a vision of creating a lasting impact on diabetes in India, and also globally, and is a one-of-its-kind institution in Western India.
The vision is intended to be achieved through four pillars – patient care, education, research and awareness. In addition, CDI operates an ambitious rural outreach program that combines all the four pillars to take the program to the doorstep of underprivileged rural population.
