Hong Kong Institute of Diabetes and Obesity (HKIDO) is an education and research institute established at The Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK) in March 2005.

With a mission to prevent, control, and cure diabetes and its co-morbidities through innovative initiatives and professional education, HKIDO aspires to translate basic sciences and clinical research into the enhancement of human health and holistic capacity. Apart from providing comprehensive diabetes assessment services and public education programmes through our nurse-led Yao Chung Kit Diabetes Assessment Centre, our signature academic programmes include the Master and Diploma Courses in Diabetes, Endocrinology and Metabolism, and the most expected annual East Meets West Symposium which attracts over 1,500 participants in the region.
