On January 18, IDF will host a webinar on the importance of preparedness to ensure people living with diabetes have a stable supply of insulin in emergency situations.
Every year, millions of people are affected by natural and man-made disasters. The supply of medication – including insulin – can be disrupted during these emergency situations. This can have devastating effects among people living with type 1 diabetes, who need daily insulin shots to survive. It can also have negative effects on people living with type 2 diabetes who need insulin to adequately manage their condition.
Panellists in this webinar will include healthcare professionals, academics and people living with diabetes.
