International Diabetes Federation opens call for nominations for next Board of Directors

The International Diabetes Federation (IDF) has launched a call for nominations for its next Board of Directors for the 2025-26 term. The elections will be held at the IDF General Assembly in Bangkok, Thailand, on 7 April 2025.

IDF is a global organisation dedicated to improving the lives of people with diabetes and is calling for inspirational leaders with proven leadership skills and a commitment to tackling the impact of diabetes and driving meaningful change on a global scale. The nomination process presents a unique opportunity for diverse, dedicated professionals to contribute to IDF’s innovative and cost-effective programmes.

Role and responsibility of IDF Board members

Serving on the IDF Board is a great honour and a significant responsibility. Board members play a vital role in developing IDF’s strategic plan, shaping policy and representing a vibrant community of stakeholders.

Potential nominees should possess the stature, dedication, time, and resources to perform their duties effectively. The Federation is particularly interested in candidates from diverse cultures and settings who can bring fresh perspectives to help achieve its mission.

Nominations are accepted until 30 September 2024.
