Following the success of the inaugural hybrid session of Dialogue with IDF Experts in June, an in-person capacity-building session in Beijing, China, welcomed 75 clinical physicians specialising in diabetes on 2 September.
In this session – co-planned by the IDF School of Diabetes and the Beijing Hengji Health Management Development Foundation in China – experts shared recent developments in diabetes research and management during a series of talks.
Chair, Prof. Linong Ji (China), and panellists Prof. Harpreet Bajaj (Canada), Prof. Vincent Woo (Canada), Prof. Weigang Zhao (China) and Prof. Andreas Liebl (Germany) spoke on insulin therapy, the latest research developments and clinical overview in once-weekly insulin. A 30-minute panel discussion and Q&A followed, allowing participants to strengthen their learning experience.
In the post-event survey, participants were delighted with the content and topics presented. They reported that they were able to build their knowledge and capacity on the use and management of insulin in diabetes treatment.
