On June 29, IDF will host a webinar in Spanish “Advocating to bring diabetes education and prevention to schools” in the framework of the KiDS programme.
IDF estimates that more than 1.212 million children and adolescents live with type 1 diabetes. Type 2 diabetes also has the potential to become a global public health issue in this age group, due to the increasing levels of obesity and physical inactivity.
Advocating for a school environment that fights diabetes-related stigma and promotes healthy habits to tackle the preventable risk factors for type 2 diabetes is fundamental to protect the health and prosperity of our societies.
Panellists for this webinar will include healthcare professionals, institutional representatives and people living with diabetes.
The IDF KiDS project is supported by an educational grant from Sanofi.
