On occasion of the 74thWorld Health Assembly (May 24-June 1, 2021), IDF along with the International Federation of Surgical Colleges (IFSC) and the World Organization of Family Physicians (WONCA) have issued a statement on the WHO Global strategy and plan of action for public health, innovation and intellectual property.
The statement focuses on addressing research and innovation difficulties in low- and middle-income countries (LMICs) and requests Member States to, among other recommendations, review and revise their policies and regulations for essential medicines.
