The Kids and Diabetes in Schools (KiDS) programme has produced a toolkit that provides information and tips to help advocates encourage local or national decision-makers to bring diabetes education into schools.
Launched in 2013, KiDS aims to bring diabetes education to schools to fight diabetes-related stigma and promote healthy lifestyles to tackle the preventable risk factors for type 2 diabetes. The project has engaged almost 250,000 children in more than 1.700 schools around the world. The information in the toolkit is intended to increase the number of children, school staff and families benefiting from the KiDS programme.
