Blood glucose monitoring is a fundamental component of diabetes care to help delay or avoid the short and long-term complications associated with the condition. The IDF School of Diabetes is delighted to present a new free interactive online course to help people living with diabetes and those who care for them understand the basics of blood glucose control.
Available on the Understanding Diabetes platform, the 15-20 minute course describes how blood glucose is measured, what to do when blood glucose levels go too high or low and highlights the importance of keeping levels within the target range as much as possible. This course has been made possible with the support of Servier.
“The risk of developing serious complications is reduced by keeping blood glucose levels in target range as often and for as long as possible. The International Diabetes Federation is delighted to partner with Servier to launch a free interactive online course to help people living with diabetes understand the basics of blood glucose control. We remain committed to making evidence-based educational resources widely available to support people with diabetes in the daily management of their condition,” said Professor Andrew Boulton, IDF President.”
