Our Vision:

Provide a standard of care which improves the lives and outcomes of all people living with diabetes or are at risk of developing it across The Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan and in collaboration with our local and international partners.

Our Mission:

To empower people to achieve optimal control over diabetes, decrease diabetes risk, and avoid its complications by outreach, and providing support, counseling, education, and capacity-building in regards to diabetes.

Main Focus

The JSCD aims to offer the necessary information covering topics such as risk factors, complications, prevention and treatment, recent updates, and health and nutritional education targeting different community members, and healthcare providers. In addition to working on advocacy and policy


Type 2 diabetes:

  1. Screening Activities to identify new cases and refer them for treatment by MOH and heathe centres and other entities
  2. Awareness campaign:
    1. campaigns through social media platforms
    2. Handout, brochure and publications
    3. Lectures targeting the public.

  4. Diabetes and Ramadan patient stratification:

Hyperglycemia in pregnancy (HIP)
  • Develop national guidelines in collaboration with other stakeholders in different sectors (MOH, RMS, university of Jordan)
  • Develop the curriculum to be given to health care provider
  • Teach the developed curriculum at JSCD
