Message from the President
In Peru and around the world there are thousands of children and adolescents who do not have access to innovative technology to manage their diabetes, exposing them to serious complications such as brain damage due to hypoglycaemia, cardiovascular or renal disease, as well as chronic complications, with high risk to their lives. We need to unite through the International Diabetes Federation so that all patient organisations together demand from their authorities analogue insulin, glucose monitors such as glucose meters and test strips, continuous glucose monitors and if necessary for some patients with closed loop insulin pumps. No child, young person or adult with type 1 diabetes should die due to lack of access to treatment!
