Message from the President

“It is both an honor and a privilege to join the International Diabetes Federation (IDF) as a member. As a nation facing a growing burden of diabetes and endocrine disorders, we recognize the critical importance of global collaboration, knowledge sharing, and unified action to address this pressing public health challenge. Bangladesh is home to over 10 million adults living with diabetes, and this number continues to rise. The impact of diabetes on individuals, families, and our healthcare system is profound. At BES, we are committed to improving the lives of those affected by diabetes through education, research, and advocacy. We believe that our partnership with the IDF will not only enhance our capacity to address diabetes in Bangladesh but also allow us to contribute meaningfully to the global fight against this condition. Together, we can create a future where no one is left behind in the fight against diabetes.”
