As a member of the IDF Blue Circle Voices, my personal journey with diabetes informs my mission to raise awareness about the signs and symptoms of diabetes among people who have not yet been diagnosed. I want to introduce strategies to prevent diabetes and support people with diabetes. Another goal is to inform people about preventing diabetes-related complications.

My focus is not only on raising awareness about diabetes but also on empowering people. I am particularly interested in assisting people with diabetes in low-income areas and increasing public knowledge about diabetes. With increased awareness, early diabetes diagnosis can be a powerful tool in avoiding or delaying the progression of the condition and related complications.

My commitment to diabetes advocacy extends beyond words. By increasing awareness among the people in my country, Iran, I aim to dispel stigma and misperceptions about diabetes. I plan to write and publish articles about diabetes on social networks to disseminate helpful information and insights. But it doesn’t stop there. I am always ready to share my collection of diabetes-friendly recipes to provide people with diabetes practical support in managing their diet.

My journey with diabetes began in 2022 when I was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes. Today, being part of the diabetes community fills me with joy. It’s a shared experience that can contribute to a better future for people with diabetes worldwide. I hope that by joining BCV, I can contribute to a better future for people with diabetes worldwide!
