I am from Mangaluru, India. I was 16 when type 1 diabetes came into my life. I had always aspired to be an educator and a doctor. Being diagnosed with this condition did not make me doubt my potential. It simply fuelled my drive and strengthened me to the core. My interaction as a healthcare professional with people living with diabetes makes me realise how and why advocacy is essential. I aim to reinforce the mission of raising awareness globally about diabetes and building health equity. With the same objective as IDF, we are in this together and let us all aspire to a world beyond diabetes.
