At Knowledge Dose, we are a group of people with diabetes and healthcare professionals who share a vision for a brighter future for the diabetes community. Fortunately, we have taken significant strides towards turning this vision into reality. Our team has substantially contributed to the community through various initiatives, such as a podcast that has topped the charts across all platforms. Additionally, we have conducted school visits and organised workshops on carb counting accompanied by engaging animated videos and informative booklets on diabetes-related topics. Our efforts have benefitted over 1,200 people who took part in our activities. Moving forward, our goal is to continue making a positive difference in the lives of people with diabetes while inspiring them to embrace happiness wholeheartedly despite their condition.
I am a 19 year old medical student who aspires to make a tangible change in the medical field regarding diabetes. After I was diagnosed with diabetes, I realized that taking care of myself required more than just taking insulin regularly. In fact, it required a lot of patience, research, experimentation, and communication. This realization sparked an interest within me to change multiple aspects of the care provided currently for diabetic patients and made me want to treat them thoroughly, in the future, based on my experience. I believe that joining this programme is going to help me develop a project that could educate and change the lives of people living with diabetes and also anyone who is interested in nutrition and sports as I am.
