Language Matters! is a support developed for healthcare and communication professionals and health educators to facilitate communication, avoid stigmas and improve healthy behaviours and self-care inclusively in people with non-communicable diseases (NCDs).
With the partnership of more than 26 national and international institutions based on globally established references and alignment with the communication modus operandi of entities such as the International Diabetes Federation (IDF), the World Obesity Federation (WOF), the American Diabetes Association (ADA) and Diabetes UK, Language Matters! is widely publicised in the public and private sector in Brazil as well as NGOs and universities. Together we can reduce and end the stigma around diabetes and NCDs that harm healthy habits and put thousands of lives at risk.
