Pancreas 404 is a collaborative initiative that emerged by bringing together young people with diabetes throughout Italy. Our primary platform is Instagram, where our profile has evolved into an open space where people sensitive to diabetes can share personal experiences. Through posts, live streams, individual accounts and profile takeovers, we have provided an avenue for people to express their feelings surrounding diabetes. The most notable successes have come from those who did not directly participate in the profile takeovers – the majority – as they found solace in realising that they are not the only ones living with this condition.
