The project سُكر، سُكر is an Arabic name of a famous Sudanese song that reflects our culture and means “sugar, sugar” in English. This initiative aims to provide comprehensive training and support to children between 10 and 15 living with diabetes. By equipping them with essential skills and knowledge, we empower them to combat the social stigma associated with their condition while fostering awareness among their peers. Thirty children and their families have already benefited from this programme by receiving specialised training that enables them to engage actively in discussions and share personal experiences within a supportive environment.
