IDF Governance Structure

The structure of the International Diabetes Federation (IDF) includes:

  • Board of Directors
  • General Assembly
  • Membership

IDF Board of Directors

The Board of Directors is IDF's elected management body. Its primary purpose is to serve the General Assembly to ensure the proper functioning of IDF. The Board of Directors develops IDF strategic plans and analyses all matters relating to the policy of IDF in collaboration with the Executive Office.

The Board of Directors is comprised of:

  • President
  • President-Elect
  • Vice-President Finance
  • Vice-President Strategic Governance
  • Six Vice-Presidents without portfolio
  • Regional Chairs

The new IDF Board of Directors for 2023-24 was confirmed during the meeting of the IDF General Assembly on 5 December in Lisbon.
