The voices of people with lived experience of diabetes

Nikhil Bhandarkar (India)

As a Blue Circle Voice advocate, I have been living with type 1 diabetes since 2015. Healthy nutrition for diabetes is of particular importance to me. Nutrition is one of the most powerful approaches to preventing and managing diabetes.

Reema Al-Dweik (Jordan)

My personal philosophy is that diabetes is not an enemy, but a friend. You can live a healthy life if you treat it well. This means balancing the quality and quantity of your meals to achieve a healthy lifestyle. With this positive outlook, I've found that living with diabetes is not a burden, but an opportunity for better health.

Cyrene Manansala (The Philippines)

By sharing my story of hope and healing, I can inspire others like me and younger children with type 1 diabetes, and emphasise the importance of community support in our journey.
