Reema Al-Dweik (Jordan)

Author: Reema Al-Dweik

Hello! My name is Reema Al-Dweik, and I am from Jordan.

After my diagnosis with type 1 diabetes, my diabetes journey led me to the Jordanian Society for the Care of Diabetes (JSCD) where I found that helping people to live better, healthier lives brings me happiness and fulfilment. As a member of the Blue Circle Voices network, I can continue to help others living with diabetes accept their condition as I did.

My personal philosophy is that diabetes is not an enemy, but a friend. You can live a healthy life if you treat it well. This means balancing the quality and quantity of your meals to achieve a healthy lifestyle. With this positive outlook, I’ve found that living with diabetes is not a burden, but an opportunity for better health.
