A new Board of the International Diabetes Federation (IDF), led by President Professor Peter Schwarz, was appointed by the IDF General Assembly at the IDF World Diabetes Congress 2022 in Bangkok, Thailand.
IDF is pleased to announce that Dr Niti Pall (UK) was elected President-Elect. She will assume the Presidency of the Federation in 2027.
Dr Pall is a global health specialist with extensive experience in developing digital healthcare models and health financing strategies across both public and private sectors. She currently serves as the Senior Mobile and Digital Health Advisor for AXA Emerging Customer and chairs the board of Harb, a London-based health tech accelerator. She previously served on the IDF Board as Chair of the IDF Europe Region.
Prof Jacko Abodo (Ivory Coast), Dr Hermelinda Pedrosa (Brazil), Ms Erum Gafoor (Pakistan), Ms Jane Giles (Australia), Dr Jackie Maalouf (Lebanon) and Mr Kyle Jacques Rose (France) were elected as Vice Presidents.
